No glove, no love. It's time to remind seniors about the importance of safe sex.
Jems condoms brand has launched the "F#cking Old" Campaign to raise awareness about practicing safer sex amidst the rise in STIs in the seniors' community.
They've teamed up with Jane Johanson, daughter of Canadian Sex Expert, Sue Johanson, to spread the message about the importance of sexual health education for seniors.
According to the Jems, Canadians over 60 have seen a 240% overall increase in STI rates.
Johansen explains, "Talking about sex with your parents or grandparents may be awkward, but frankly, it has never been more necessary. This campaign is about harnessing the power of Gen Z who talk about sex easily, and often over their vast social media networks, to bring that conversation to the older generation who often don't understand their risks."
To make the conversation easier, Jems has unveiled a hard candy to help ease into the conversation.
Yup! Cause seniors like hard candy.
The website explains, "Each candy is designed to get you talking about safer sex with those sexually-active seniors in your life who need to have the conversation. They also come with a pack of Jems condoms, so once they're done unwrapping the candies, they can start wrapping up their own fruity tootsies."
One hundred percent of sales proceeds will be donated to Action Canada for Sexual Health & Rights, committed to advancing and upholding sexual and reproductive health and rights globally.
So, grab your "F#cking Old" candies and your condoms, and go talk to your loved ones.
