It's a song 34 years in the making, an updated version of "We Didn't Start the Fire."

Fall Out Boy has released their version of the Billy Joel classic, which talks about major events worldwide from 1989 to 2023.

Billy Joel's original version chronicled events from 1949-1989 and mentioned over 100 people, events and major history points, and Fall Out Boys version picks it up from there.

In a social media post, the band explained, "So much has happened in the span of the last 34 years- we felt like a little system update might be fun. Hope you like our take on it…"

It should be noted that the events listed aren't in chronological order, but the video helps us follow along by having the event spelled out as they rapid-fire through the lyrics.

"Some include "[Donald] Trump gets impeached twice/Polar bears got no ice."

and

"LA Riots, Rodney King, Deep fakes, earthquakes, Iceland volcano, Oklahoma City bomb, Kurt Cobain, pokemon, Tiger Woods, Myspace, Monsanto GMO'S"
