Everyone is paying respects to the late Paul Reubens (Pee-Wee Herman), including one of his old pre-historic buddies.

If you saw the 1985 film Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, you'll remember the colossal T-Rex statue featured in the film.

The colossal roadside attraction near Palm Springs has been dressed up in Pee-Wee's classic grey suit and bowtie, with a simple heart and Pee-Wee written on his belly.

In the film, Pee-Wee stops in a small town and watches the sunrise from the T-Rex's mouth with his new friend Simone.

That scene stands out most in my memory, and as Simone's jealous boyfriend is chasing him.

Reubens passed away on Sunday after a lengthy and private battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.
