Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner has written a novel for young adults called “Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen.”
It took her nine years to do it. Halliwell-Horner says she struggled so much that she reached out to “Any Human Heart” author William Boyd for feedback. She calls it “like giving Humpty-Dumpty to Beethoven,” but Boyd gave her some useful tips.
One was to rewrite it so that it was in third person past tense rather than first person present tense. Halliwell-Horner says that was “a game changer.” “Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen” is out now.
