Sebastian Stan has been tapped to play "The Donald" in an upcoming biopic titled "The Apprentice."
The film centers on the mentor-mentee relationship between former US President Donald Trump and lawyer Roy Cohn.
Directed by Iranian filmmaker Ali Abbasi, the film is set in the 1970s and 80s and follows Trump's journey to becoming a New York real estate tycoon.
Cohn was later disbarred for unethical conduct
The film's logline reads, "It is an exploration of power and ambition set in a world of corruption and deceit. It's a mentor-protege story that charts the origins of an American dynasty. Filled with larger than life characters, it reveals the moral and human cost of a culture defined by winners and losers."
Stan is best know for his role in the Avengers films as Bucky Barnes. In 2022, he played Tommy Lee in the biopic series "Pam & Tommy."
Other names attached to the film include "Succession's" Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn and "Borat 2" actor Maria Bakalova as Ivana Trump.
