OPP say they seized drugs with a street value of over $300,000 during a drug trafficking investigation in Muskoka.
On Wednesday and Thursday, OPP executed five search warrants, two in Bracebridge and three in Toronto. As a result of the investigation, police seized a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, multiple prescription medications, a large quantity of cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
A 24-year-old from Toronto was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x4
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x3
- Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x2
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x4
- Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x2
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under$5,000, CC 354(1)(a) x2
A 23-year-old from Toronto was arrested and faces:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x2
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x2
- Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x2
- Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2) x2
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under$5,000, CC 354(1)(a)
A 43-year-old from Gravenhurst is up on:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
- Fail to Comply with Release Order, CC 145(5)(a)
All of the accused are scheduled to appear in court in April.
