Stop the kanky panky by the photocopier.
If you have a crush on someone in your office, ask yourself, "If I saw him on the street, would I actually like them?"
Relationship expert Molly posted a PSA, of sorts, on TikTok to stress that you may not be interested in your work crush at all.
She says instead of being in love or lust with a coworker, you probably have what she calls "Office goggles."
"There's one person in the office who you would never look twice at if you had met them under normal circumstances. But for some reason, in the office, they are a sex god." she explains.
The reason people tend to want to get randy with their coworkers is a mystery.
"I don't know if they put something in the water cooler, if there's a subconscious effect from the fluorescent lighting, or because you're forced to spend 38 hours a week with that person."
While she doesn't have a solid answer on why we want to bone our coworkers, she does know you shouldn't act on it.
"Next time you're out for after-work drinks, and you start thinking Jack from the technology development team could be the love of your life, I beg you to take 30 seconds and think, 'Do I actually like them, or is it just the work goggles?'"
Most of the time, it's the latter.
There are the rare romance's that work out, but come on, we can't all be Jim and Pam.
