A driver is facing impaired charges after Barrie police say he crashed into a business on Anne Street South and blew over twice the legal limit.
Last night, at 11:13 p.m., officers received a report of the incident.
"A detailed description of the involved motor vehicle, the licence plate number and that it failed to remain was shared with responding officers," police said in a release on Monday.
Officers found the suspect vehicle not far away, on Anne Street South near Essa Road, and said the driver showed signs of impairment.

A 68-year-old Innisfil man was arrested and taken to Barrie Police Headquarters where the investigation continued.
"A qualified breathalyzer operator later determined that the male was well over twice the legal limit at the time the breath samples were obtained," police continued.
He was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Fail to Remain
Also, his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear in Barrie court at the end of April.
