A Bradford woman is up on 14 charges in connection to a theft from vehicle spree in which police say she targeted residential neighbourhoods.
In June, the South Simcoe Police Service's street crime unit started an investigation into the thefts in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
"The suspect was targeting residential neighbourhoods in the middle of the night and stealing personal belongings and bank cards from unlocked vehicles," officers wrote in a release on Tuesday.
"The suspect would then attend local gas stations and convenience stores and use stolen bank cards to purchase various items."
A 43-year-old faces multiple charges of theft, possession of property obtained by crime, fraud, and fraudulent use of a credit card.
"Police would like to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked as that is the best way to prevent yourself from falling victim to this type of crimes," officers added.
