Paramedics checked two people, one was taken to hospital, after a house fire Thursday night on Laclie Street in Orillia.
Deputy Fire Chief Chris Ferry told Barrie 360 there was significant damage to the home's basement, with smoke and water damage to the main floor.
The cause, he said, appears to be electrical.
