Man charged with committing 'indecent act': Barrie police

Flashing your naughty bits in public can get you arrested.

Barrie police responded to a Collier Street address last Thursday afternoon when they received a report of a person engaging in a lewd act in clear view of anyone was in the area.

"A 35-year-old male of no fixed address was located, arrested, and transported to Barrie Police Headquarters where police were able to confirm that he was also breaching an existing probation order," according to a police news release on Tuesday.

He was charged with committing an indecent act in a public place and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was held for a bail hearing, remanded into custody with another court appearance by video link on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
