Driver sustains 'life-threatening' injuries in Springwater Township crash: OPP

A driver was airlifted to a trauma centre with "life-threatening" injuries sustained in a crash in Springwater Township, OPP told Barrie 360.

Huronia West OPP are investigating the single-vehicle collision that happened this morning around 5:45 a.m.

They say the passenger vehicle was travelling southbound on Baseline Road between Flos Road 7 East and Flos Road 8 East and struck a tree.

OPP told Barrie 360 the driver, a 44-year-old woman, was the only occupant in the vehicle, and was transported to a local hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

Southbound Baseline Road between Flos Road 7 East and Flos Road 8 East is closed while officers investigate.
