A motorcyclist was airlifted to a Toronto area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries following a collision with a car in Waverly.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP say it happened around 2:15 Saturday afternoon on Highway 93 in front of a gas station and convience store.

Police were assisted by County of Simcoe paramedics and Tay Township firefighters.

The lone 55-year-old male operator of the bike was transported to an area hospital then airlifted to Toronto for further treatment.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam video to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or opp.southern.georgian.bay@opp.ca.
