A 40-year-old Bolton man has been charged with numerous offences following a partnership between York (YRP) and Peel Regional police (PRP) in an investigation dubbed Project Splitting Eagle.
"In September of 2024, police became aware of an online social media channel where multiple videos were being posted of a motorcycle driving dangerously and at high rates of speed with no regard for public safety. Between June 2024 and September 2024, the driver, allegedly posted multiple videos of himself driving. The videos show him racing a grey motorcycle, weaving between lanes of traffic at high speeds and reaching speeds of up to 258 km/hr," PRP said in a news release on Thursday.

PRP have charged the suspect with five counts each of dangerous operation of a vehicle and stunt driving, four charges of speeding and one charge of racing a motor vehicle.
YRP added to his rap sheet with 16 charges for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, 14 stunt driving charges and two charges of fleeing police.
The motorcycle was impounded for 14 days, YRP added, and the suspect's licence is suspended for 30 days.
