You may have noticed something different about our logo—it’s blue!
From November 1 to 16, we’re swapping out our usual design to join Light the Town Blue, a movement by Seasons Centre in honor of Children’s Grief Awareness Month. This initiative highlights the unique struggles grieving children, teens, and their families face and lets them know they are not alone.
Grieving youth often feel overlooked during tough times, making this awareness campaign so important. Blue symbolizes children’s grief, and lighting up homes and businesses with blue lights is a powerful way to show our community’s support. Through Light the Town Blue, we aim to shine a spotlight on these young individuals, acknowledging their grief and showing that they matter.
How Can You Show Support?
Want to join us in turning things blue? Add blue lights to your home or business, download and display the official Light the Town Blue poster, and share your photos online.
Remember to tag @seasonscentre and use #childrensgrief #lightupblue to spread the message and show solidarity with grieving children and families.
Attend the Barrie Colts Charity Hockey Game
On November 16, the Barrie Colts and Seasons Centre will host a Charity Hockey Game, giving our community a special opportunity to support grieving children and youth. Proceeds go to Seasons Centre’s programs, and attendees can win limited-edition autographed jerseys and more. To learn about tickets and sponsorship options, visit the Seasons Centre website.
Help us light the town blue this November, and show children dealing with loss that we’re here for them, every step of the way.
