Huronia West OPP are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision in Springwater Township on Sunday afternoon.
Around 4:20 p.m., first responders attended to the collision on Penetanguishene Road near Flos Road 4 East.
Mike Osborne, media relations officer with the OPP, told Barrie 360 that one of the drivers, a 43-year-old Barrie woman, was confirmed deceased at the scene.

Osborne says the driver of the other vehicle, a 45-year-old from Tiny Township, along with two passengers, a 50-year-old and a 14-year-old, were sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He added that the two adults were later airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre.
A section of Penetanguishene Road was closed for just over five hours while officers investigated.
