Barrie police are looking for suspects in connection to a break-and-enter in the south end where tools and electrical items were taken.
Officers were called to a Commerce Park Drive business yesterday at 4:50 a.m.
The break-and-enter was in progress at the time of the call, according to Peter Leon, Barrie Police Service communications coordinator.
"Police discovered the front door had been smashed which allowed the suspects to hastily enter the business and steal a large quantity of battery-powered tools and assorted electrical supply items," Leon wrote in a release.
"Video surveillance clearly showed five males arrive in two motor vehicles and within four minutes flee the area with what had been stolen."
Leon says the suspects fled westbound on Commerce Park Drive towards Veterans Drive.
"Initial estimates place the value of the stolen items at over $7,000," Leon added.
The investigation is ongoing.
