The Ontario Fire Marshal is assisting in the investigation into a house fire in Barrie that resulted in two people being transported to hospital.
Fire Chief Kevin White told Barrie 360 the fire was at a residence on Columbia Road in the area of Mapleview Drive West and Essa Road and was called in around 2:30 Monday morning.
"The fire was quickly extinguished," White added.
He did not know the severity of the injuries to the two people taken to the hospital, though police confirmed the individuals were both adults, a male and a female.
