
ORILLIA, Ont. - Four drivers were charged by the Orillia OPP through proactive traffic stops through the first two days of the Easter weekend.
Friday around 1:15 pm, an officer observed a vehicle travelling at 141 km per hour in a posted 90 km per hour zone on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte, Ont. A 23-year-old of Minesing was charged with stunt driving and had their vehicle impounded and license suspended for 30 days.
Two more drivers found themselves in the same situation within the next two and a half hours: driving 141 in a 90 km/h zone on Highway 11 and receiving the same punishments.

A 21-year-old G2 driver from Brampton was also pulled over on Highway 11 Friday after their speed was confirmed to be 149 km per hour in a posted 90 km/h zone.
All four drivers are to appear in court at a later date.
Orillia OPP are reminding people to respect our communities with safe driving etiquette and not to jeopardize the safety of our citizens or our neighborhoods with risky, illegal, and dangerous actions.
