
York Regional Police say they seized 15 firearms and more than 1,400 grams of fentanyl as part of a drug trafficking investigation in Georgina.
At a news conference on Monday, police say they launched their investigation, dubbed Project Madruga, in February.
During the investigation, police say they identified other associates who were believed to be trafficking across multiple jurisdictions, spanning from Toronto to Huntsville, and learned the Orillia OPP Community Street Crime Unit was also investigating them.

Six adults from Toronto and York Region were arrested after search warrants were executed in April and May in the Greater Toronto Area.
Police say the weapons seized included seven handguns, four shotguns and four rifles, and nine of the firearms were loaded.
In addition to the fentanyl, police say they seized cocaine, methamphetamines, suspected opioid pills, and cannabis, with a street value of $215,000.
