Tiny Township firefighters had to pry a man from his vehicle, which entered a ditch and landed on its side on Simcoe County Road 6 between Concession Road 8 and Concession Road 9.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say emergency crews responded to the scene just before 9:30 Sunday night.
A 58-year-old from Woodbridge was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
OPP say he was charged with impaired driving, driving without insurance, driving without an insurance card, driving a vehicle without a valid permit, and careless driving.
His vehicle was impounded for seven days, and his driver's licence was suspended for 90 days.
