Two suspects in custody following shooting at Orillia residence

Police say there is no threat to public safety

Provincial police say two people are in custody following a shooting at a residence in Orillia on Tuesday morning.

Around 2:00 a.m., Orillia OPP responded to a 9-1-1 call for reports of gunshots at a residence. Officers say they attended the scene and located apparent gunshot holes, as well as the suspects.

Investigators say this is an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.

The Orillia OPP Crime Unit is investigating and is asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
