Police say a body found along Highway 400 is that of a 37-year-old woman formerly of Bradford. The name is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a northbound motorist spotted the human remains in the area of Highway 88 around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A port-mortem will be done on Friday to determine the cause of death.

There will be a continued police presence on Highway 400 northbound between the 5th line and Highway 88 through Friday. The OPP is grateful to the public who travel the area and have provided dashcam video to police.
