Two men from Windsor face a slew of charges after Orillia OPP with assistance from the Central Tactics and Rescue Unit conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 near Bracebridge last Thursday as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in Simcoe County.
Police say they seized the following items:
- Glock 45 caliber handgun (loaded)
- Separate bag of .45 caliber ammunition
- 578 grams of cocaine
- 14 grams of methamphetamine
- 169 grams of fentanyl
- $36,000 proceeds
- Cellular devices
- Digital scale
As a result, police have charged the following individuals:
A 23-year-old with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, for the Purposes of Trafficking- opioid (other than Heroin) (CDSA)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, for the Purposes of Trafficking- cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, for the Purposes of Trafficking- methamphetamine
- Unauthorised possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Transport Firearm, weapon, prohibited device in a careless manner
- Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon
- Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with ammo
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime- over $5000 (CC)
A 19-year-old with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, for the Purposes of Trafficking- opioid (other than Heroin) (CDSA)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, for the Purposes of Trafficking- cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, for the Purposes of Trafficking- methamphetamine
- Unauthorised possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Transport Firearm, weapon, prohibited device in a careless manner
- Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
