
The Town of Innisfil has temporarily closed the Stroud Branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library and Stroud Curling Club due to a frozen pipe that burst over the weekend.
Town staff and contractors are actively assessing the damage and working to address the issue as quickly and safely as possible. The building will remain closed until water service is restored and remediation work is complete.

Other areas of the Stroud facility, including the arena and banquet hall, also remain closed following the identification of a significant structural issue involving an interior wall. Based on a professional engineer’s assessment, the extent of repairs required means the arena will remain closed for the remainder of the ice season, and the banquet hall will not be available for summer programming. A staff report outlining findings and anticipated costs will be presented at the Council Meeting on February 11, 2026.
