A young boy in Bradford-West Gwillimbury is the Simcoe County District Health Unit’s only addition to Wednesday’s COVID caseload

No new lives lost in the past week

Promising numbers from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, as it confirms just one new case of COVID-19 in our region.

The Health Unit reports a young boy under 10 years of age, living in Bradford-West Gwillimbury, is the latest addition to a caseload that now stands at 458. Of those, 356 people have recovered. That’s an increase of six people recovered since yesterday and 78 percent of all cases.

A breakdown of all cases, as provided by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, can be found here. It includes the age, gender, municipality of residence, and how the virus was acquired as well as on what date.

The Health Unit is reporting no new lives lost, the region’s death toll has stood at 36 since May 20th.
