Two adults, infant seen boarding bus following fail-to-remain crash in Barrie

A strange fail-to-remain collision is under investigation by Barrie Police that happened shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday.

"We had a vehicle that was existing from the Costco parking lot onto Mapleview Drive. That vehicle was actually struck by a vehicle that was travelling eastbound on Mapleview," said Barrie Police communications coordinator Peter Leon. "It appeared to disobey the red light."

According to police, both adults in the eastbound vehicle removed a small child from the backseat and proceeded to walk toward a parking lot and were last seen boarding a City of Barrie transit bus that continued eastbound on Mapleview Drive.

Investigators are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information that may provide police with the whereabouts of the driver.
