Air Canada suspending all flights to Italy as of Wednesday, over fears of COVID-19

Suspension to remain in effect until May 1st

Air Canada is suspending all flights from Canada to Italy as COVID-19 fears grow.

The airline says the suspension will come into effect Wednesday, and remain so until May 1st.

As of Tuesday morning, over 10,000 COVID-19 cases were reported in Italy, with over 630 people dead. Rapidly becoming a global epicentre, Italy has been cut off from some neighbouring countries. Officials within the nation have put restrictions on travel internally.
