Two people were seriously injured in a single-vehicle collision early Friday morning in Ramara Township.

Around 1:15 a.m., first responders were alerted about the crash on Ramara Road 47.

The vehicle was on its roof with two people inside.

Ontario Provincial Police say they were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The 19-year-old male novice driver was later airlifted to a trauma centre in Toronto.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but police believe alcohol was a contributing factor.
