South Simcoe police are investigating a break-and-enter in Alcona, with officers saying multiple firearms were stolen.
The break-in occurred at a residence on Raynor Court between the evening of March 30th and the morning of April 3rd. Police say the home was not occupied at the time of the incident.
Officers say six non-restricted firearms were taken from the property:
- Remington 1100 12 gauge shotgun
- Beretta 682 under-over 12 gauge shotgun
- Remington 7400 30-06 semi-automatic rifle
- Tikka M595 .300 bolt-action rifle
- Remington 22 caliber semi-automatic rifle
- Gamo .177 high-velocity pellet rifle
"Officers from Uniform Patrol, Forensic Identification Services and the Street Crime Unit are actively investigating the matter," police said in a release.
