
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say an incident involving a teenage girl in Midland is now being treated as an attempted abuction.
Initially, police said they received a report from a female about an interaction with an unknown male that occurred near the intersection of Maxwell Avenue and Christine Drive between 7:30 and 8:30 last Friday evening.
The female said the male was driving a smaller four-door silver car that fled the scene at a high rate of speed.
Police updated their investigation on Tuesday and said the female was assaulted and the male attempted to gain control of her and force her into the suspect vehicle.
He is described as white with a large physical size, wearing a red and black baseball cap, wearing a black puffy-style jacket with jeans.
