A motorist has been charged with impaired driving after provincial police say they spotted them running a red light in Alliston.
OPP say an officer was patrolling the Victoria and Boyne Streets area just before midnight when the incident happened.
The officer stopped the suspect vehicle and, according to OPP, "could smell an odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver."
They say the officer issued an Approved Screening Device demand (ASD) that resulted in a "Fail."
A 28-year-old Bradford man faces two charges:
- Red light - fail to stop
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
He was issued a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled for court in Bradford in March.
