Amazon Alexa can now take steps to make your life easier and save you some money on your heating and hydro bills with a brand new feature called "proactive hunches".
If you have already started transforming your house into a smart home with smart lights, appliances, or countless other things, proactive hunches can begin to learn your habits and control your home for you. Did you forget to turn off the kitchen light? Alexa can now remind you or just automatically turn it off for you. On the other hand, if you normally leave a certain light on Alexa will learn to not turn it off. Proactive hunches can also automatically turn down your thermostat while you're away at work. If you don't want to wait for Alexa to learn your habits, you can also use the app to begin setting up this feature manually.
