Another adaptation of “The Office” is in the making.

An Arabic version will soon hit the air in the Middle East, making it the 12th international version of the original BBC sitcom.

The 20-episode series takes place at a courier service company, overseen by the self-absorbed but lovable boss named Malik- Al- Tuwaif.

In a statement, a spokesperson for BBC Studios said

“Although office working may look slightly different for many of us in 2022, the familiarity of these well-observed characters as they navigate petty rivalries, moments of friendship and humour, and a boss that sometimes makes a fool of themselves, still rings just as true.”

The original show was the mastermind of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Marchant, who started the show over 20 years ago.

The show skyrocketed to critical acclaim with the U.S version starring Steve Carell.

Several countries have produced their version in the two decades since it first aired, including Germany, Israel, India, and Poland. Canada also had one called “La Job” that aired 12 episodes in 2007.

The latest installment, called “Al Maktab,” is the first in the Arabic language.
