Arrest made in relation to Orillia City Centre bomb threat

No explosive device was located

A bomb threat at the Orillia City Centre on Apr. 1, and now two months later police have charged a suspect.

OPP were dispatched to the Andrew Street address around noon after being alerted about the threat. No explosive device was located.

A 35-year-old Orillia man is facing eight charges including three counts each of uttering threats and harassing communications, and one count each of breach of recognizance and failure to comply with undertaking.

The accused was held for a bail hearing on Thursday.
