Armed bank robbery in Alliston

OPP say the suspect appeared to have a firearm

The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a bank robbery in Alliston in which police say the suspect appeared to have a firearm.

Police say a man entered the CIBC branch at 35 Young Street around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday and demanded cash from the teller. A quantity of money was provided to the suspect who fled the scene in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as male, white, wearing a Blue Jays hat, an orange traffic vest with a navy blue long sleeve top as well as jeans and black adidas running shoes.
