An arrest has been made in the slaying of a 48-year-old Ramara Township man.
Shortly before 1 p.m. on November 11, 2023, Orillia OPP say officers were called to a residence on County Road 169 just south of Washago where one person was located deceased.
The responding officers located the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody.
The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Fabian Crawford.
A 54-year-old Orillia man has been charged with second-degree murder.
"The investigation is in its early stages and no further details can be released at this time," police said in a news release on Sunday evening. "Residents of the area should expect to see a large police presence. There is no threat to public safety."
