Arrests made in Barrie convenience store robberies

In each robbery, the suspects took vaping products

Two young males have been charged in connection with robberies last month at the Circle K at 3 Marsellus Drive in the southwest part of the city.

The first robbery occurred on Feb. 15 and the other on Feb. 21, both in the early evening.

In each incident, vaping products were obtained by the suspects.

Aided by video surveillance, police say they immediately realized the two incidents were carried out by two different persons.

Last Wednesday, a 17-year-old male was arrested and charged with the Feb.15 robbery, and on Monday night, a 16-year-old boy was charged with the occurrence on Feb. 21.

Both suspects have court dates in the coming weeks.
