Attempted murder charge laid from 2022 assault in Wasaga Beach

A male was found with life-threatening injuries at an address on River Road West

Huronia West OPP has charged a 20-year-old Toronto man with attempted murder and other offences in connection with an assault a year ago in Wasaga Beach.

Police say that on Feb. 2, 2022, they responded to an address on River Road East where they found a male with life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to a Toronto trauma centre and has since recovered.

With the assistance of Toronto police, a suspect was arrested on Wednesday.

He has been charged with the following:

  • Attempted Murder
  • Forcible Confinement - two counts
  • Break and Enter
  • Weapons Dangerous

The accused has a bail hearing on Thursday.
