Look up, and look way up.
The Barrie Airshow is returning to Kempenfelt Bay with performances on June 10 and 11.
Details were announced at Canadian Forces Base Borden on Tuesday.
"Fun programming will be taking place all weekend long including the Downtown Barrie BIA's first Open Air Dunlop of the season, CFB Borden's kiddie commando course and static displays, live music at Meridian Place, and a free screening of Top Gun: Maverick at Meridian Place," said Barrie Mayor Alex Nuttall. "The economic impact major events like the Barrie Airshow have on our community is massive and we are honoured to be hosting the event once again."
Nuttall emphasized that extra oomph to the city's economy when talking with Barrie 360.
"We'll see tens of thousands of people both from in-town and out-of-town participate," Nuttall said. "It really puts Barrie on the map."
The performances will include the Canadian Forces Snowbirds (431 Air Demonstration Squadron), the Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks Parachute Team, a CF-18 tactical demonstration, and the Northern Stars Aeroteam.
The Barrie Airshow is presented by Pratt Homes, and is supported by Canadian Forces Base Borden, the County of Simcoe, the Downtown Barrie BIA and event sponsors.
