Barrie police are investigating a series of break and enters to five condominiums at a waterfront building.

Police say they were alerted late Sunday afternoon about the breaks-ins.

According to investigators, around 12:45 a.m., a man dressed in black clothing entered the building at 6 Toronto Street and was seen leaving on video surveillance just after 4 a.m.

"During that time, five condominiums were entered after their front doors were forced open," police said in a news release on Tuesday. "From video surveillance that has been obtained by police, the only other identifier that may assist in identifying the suspect is that he had a red backpack and wore a hood during his time in the building."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Barrie Police Constable Tompkins, who is the investigating officer at dtompkins@barriepolice.ca.
