A man and woman were arrested and charged following a Monday afternoon crash where the two "managed to elude apprehension," Barrie police say.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Cundles Road East near Lions Gate Boulevard.
"Upon arrival at the scene, police learned that a male and female, who were in a passenger car that was involved in the crash, fled the scene on foot," police said on Wednesday.
"A canine track was conducted, but they managed to elude apprehension. The other driver involved sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries because of the crash."
Police say a quantity of suspected cocaine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia was seized from the passenger car.
They say the two who fled were identified and warrants for their arrest were obtained.
