A 21-year-old Barrie man is facing impaired driving charges after police found him asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle in a Burger King parking lot on Bayfield Street.
Barrie Police were called to the parking lot around 7:15 Sunday morning after someone reported a car idling for more than two hours.
Officers found a man slumped over in the driver's seat with his foot near the gas pedal.
Not the good morning this person was expecting. Plan a safe ride home. It's not worth the risk. If you suspect a driver is impaired, call 911.

After officers woke him and shut off the vehicle, police say they noticed the driver appeared disoriented, with glassy eyes and slurred speech, and a strong odour of alcohol.
An Approved Screening Device test at the scene registered fail, and he was arrested for impaired driving.
As officers walked him to their police cruiser, they say he struggled to maintain his balance.
At police headquarters, a breath test showed he was nearly twice the legal limit, resulting in a second impaired driving charge.
The man was handed a licence suspension, and his vehicle was towed.
