Barrie Police have charged a motorist following several vehicle collisions.

Around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, police responded to a report of a collision on Golds Crescent in the area of Essa Rd. and Mapleview Dr. West.

"From the investigation that followed, it was very quickly determined that the involved motor vehicle had been involved in a collision with another car on the same street before it was located in nearby driveway," police said in a news release on Thursday.

After a brief conversation with the driver, police determined that she was impaired. She was placed under arrest.

The 59-year-old Barrie resident was taken to police headquarters. According to police, a breathalyzer technician determined the woman was almost five times over the legal limit.

The accused was charged with impaired driving.

She has a court date next month.
