Barrie firefighters had six trucks on scene early this morning, battling a blaze at a chiropractor's business on Essa Road, just south of Burton Avenue.
Deputy Fire Chief Eric MacFadden told Barrie 360 that crews were alerted about the fire around 5:30 Tuesday morning.
Flames were shooting from the roof, and MacFadden says part of the roof has collapsed.
Crews remain on scene, he added, dealing with hotspots.
The business was closed when flames broke out.
Police have closed Essa Road from Burton Avenue to Innisfil Street.
