Barrie Food Bank Sets Its Highest Goal Ever
Goal of 200,000lbs of Food This Holiday Season
The CP Holiday Train is rolling into the station this Friday and it marks the launch of the biggest Barrie Food Bank drive in history.

Over 2,800 people expecting to use the Food Bank in December, some 600 families
This year, the Food Bank is hoping Barrie digs deep and helps raise 200,000 pounds of food over the festive season. This represents the largest goal ever set by the food bank, as usage of it has remained consistent; over 75,000 pounds of food is distributed each month and the Food Bank expects to see upwards of 2,800 people through December.

The most needed items at the food bank include: powdered milk, peanut butter, canned stew, canned luncheon meats, juices, rice, baby food and formula, canned tuna, mayonnaise, canned vegetables, soups, can pasta, macaroni, school snacks, sugar, flour, pancake mix, condiments such as ketchup and mustard and personal hygiene products like soap, shampoo, toothpaste and feminine products.
The train will be arriving at the Midhurst station on Annest north this Friday November 30th st noon.
