A hold and secure was lifted at a Barrie school after an hour as heavily armed officers, mostly from York Regional Police, converged on a Daphane Crescent home on Wednesday afternoon.
The Simcoe County District School Board tweeted about the hold and secure at Cundles Heights Public School, which is located on Cundles Road West just west of Bayfield Street.
A Barrie police spokesman referred Barrie 360 to York Regional Police (YRP) saying this was their investigation.
Barrie 360 reached out to YRP and a communications spokesperson said they were unable to comment but would have more details later today.
Pictures from the scene showed at least two YRP armoured vehicles at a residence and one male in handcuffs.
