The City of Barrie is working with Oraclepoll Research to conduct a statistically valid phone survey of residents to gather feedback on key questions related to the 2026 Business Plan & Budget.

Starting the week of September 22, a random selection of residents from all 10 wards in the city will be contacted to take part in a strategically vailid phone survey to gather feedback on key questions related to the 2026 Business Plan and Budget. Cellular and landline numbers will be called, and the survey will taken an estimated 5 to 7 minutes to complete.

All individual responses will be kept confidential, and respondents won’t be asked to give any personal information, or any payment or banking information.

Residents who receive a call to do the survey are encouraged to take the time to provide feedback. The input will be shared with council as part of the 2026 Business Plan & Budget deliberations this fall.

Subject to council's discussions, the city services portion of the 2026 Business Plan & Budget is scheduled to be approved on November 12, 2025. Service partner budgets are scheduled to be approved on December 10, 2025.
