Barrie Man Accused of Catching Some Zzz’s Following Dufferin Mugging
Police Found Alleged Bandit Sleeping behind the wheel of Stolen Vehicle
A Barrie man is in hot water, after police say he was found fast asleep behind the wheel.
Dufferin County OPP got the call to a trail head near 5th Sideroad in Mono, where two people reported being mugged and assaulted. No suspect could be found, but a solid description was provided.
The next morning, officers were called out to a location nearby to find a stolen vehicle with a man sleeing inside. The man matched the suspect description.
The 23-year-old was arrested and charged with Robbery with Violence, Assault, Vehicle Theft, and Mischief. He was expected in Orangeville court today.
