A Barrie man was charged with an impaired driving-related offence after attending a South Simcoe Police Service station to report a collision.
On Tuesday, around 3:45 p.m., officers say the man drove to South Division on Melbourne Drive in Bradford West Gwillimbury to report a collision from a few days ago.
Police say as a result of an investigation, the 53-year-old was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
In a release, officers say "failure or refusal to provide a roadside breath sample has the same result as failing a roadside breath test. Your licence is suspended immediately for 90 days and your vehicle impounded for seven days.
"With St. Patrick's Day on Friday, the South Simcoe Police Service urges everyone to celebrate responsibly. Plan ahead and don't leave a sober ride home to luck. We will be conducting RIDE programs to help ensure this weekend is happy and safe for all."
